Tyrone Moore

“I have lived with hearing loss since birth. I clearly understand first-hand what it is like to suffer with hearing loss, which is why I started VBS Hearing Solutions (dba VHS Hearing Solutions).”
-Tyrone Moore, Founder and Owner of VBS Hearing Solutions

The goal was to address one of the top 3 most diagnosed health conditions in the world – hearing loss in the workplace and amongst consumers worldwide. VHS’ mission is to create a system that allows worldwide distribution of hearing devices that will lower their cost and create more access to take high quality hearing tests in the workplace or the comfort of one’s home through our website and/or mobile application.

Moore has 28 years’ experience as a health care broker. He started VBS Health Care after a one year playing career on the practice squad of the San Francisco 49ers. Moore was licensed in 17 states and developed partnerships with some of the largest carriers and general agencies in the market. He has worked with employers to continually address health care access as well as the affordability of health plans benefits, supplemental voluntary products, flexible benefits, benefit administration, self-funded plans and many other systems designed to control and reduce health care costs.

It was VBS who brokered the first major deal for affordable hearing devices between an insurance company and a manufacturer. iHear Medical launched its efforts offering affordable hearing devices to the public as a start-up. Tyrone was one of their test subjects and also served as a business development consultant for iHear for 2 years. There, he provided feedback on iHear’s newest hearing devices, while also developing national distribution throughout the US with one of his preferred health insurance partners, Ameritas Dental. Ameritas, who invested $10 million in iHear Medical for the exclusive rights to iHear devices, established a market presence amongst its 5.3 million policy holders. VHS has developed its own exclusive distribution network with several mid-size manufacturing companies on a wholesale system, which allows for savings to be passed on to both employers and consumers. VHS has recently launched a new partnership with ASteel Flash, who will serve as VHS’ exclusive manufacturer, fulfillment center and distribution partner.

It was the iHear experience that led Moore to believe the market was behind and needed a change. VHS has revolutionized the hearing health market through an innovative and creative networking system that focuses on getting more health care providers in this space for better distribution and access in the workplace.

VHS has created partnerships with Brokers, Administrators, TPAs, Self-Funded Plans, Associations, Unions and Non-Profit Organizations that serve the workplace and their respective communities. VHS is now positioned to totally disrupt the market and bring the necessity of hearing health to the attention of employers and consumers worldwide, through our online portal that both streamlines and collaborates with health care providers seeking to leverage their vast membership with additional health and wellness benefits. VHS welcomes potential partners to join us in addressing this silent epidemic that is killing off the creativity and innovation of those who are suffering in silence.

VHS has created an Executive Leadership Team, to take advantage of building distribution channels geared to reduce the cost of hearing aids and to deliver to both corporations and their employees, as well as the general consumer, high quality and affordable hearing devices, with the emphasis on getting people hearing better again.
